DWF/Storm Dividing Wall Construction

OVERVIEW

This project, involved the construction of a robust dividing wall to enhance site functionality. Completed efficiently, the work emphasised structural stability and precision in material handling and installation.

SCOPE OF WORK

Preparation and Material Handling

  • Arranged delivery of all necessary materials and skip to the site, ensuring placement in a safe and accessible location.

 

Wall Construction

  • Drilled 18mm tie-in bars into the top of the existing 250mm wide wall for secure anchoring.
  • Supplied and installed heavy dense hollow blocks to construct the dividing wall, measuring:
    – Height: 1500mm
    – Length: 5070mm
  • Applied mortar between blocks and inserted drilled rods into the recesses for additional stability.

 

Concrete Reinforcement

  • Upon achieving the required wall height, hand-mixed C30 concrete on-site.
  • Filled the recesses of the blocks with concrete to ensure enhanced strength and structural integrity.

 

Site Cleanup and Handover

  • Cleared all waste generated during the project.
  • Provided completion photographs to the client, showcasing the finished wall.
OUTCOME

The dividing wall was successfully constructed with attention to detail and quality, delivering:

  • A durable and stable structure reinforced with tie-in bars and concrete filling.
  • Clean and professional execution, leaving the site in optimal condition.
