Wet Well Entry System

OVERVIEW
This project involved the design and construction of a safe and efficient entry system for a wet well, enabling maintenance, inspection, and the removal of assets. The work was carried out to meet industry standards and ensure long-term functionality and safety for the client.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Planning and Design
- Developed a detailed plan for the entry system, including:
- Access points for ease of entry and exit.
- Safety features to protect personnel.
- Compliance with industry standards.
- Designed the system to allow seamless access to internal assets for replacement, repairs, and inspections.
2. Safety Measures
- Established comprehensive temporary safety protocols for working within the wet well, including:
- Deployment of an internal safety deck to protect existing assets during construction.
3. Construction and Installation
- Built a new 9-inch brick chamber to house the entry system, incorporating all existing services without disruption.
- Designed, fabricated, and installed a custom access cover featuring a fall arrest safety grill, ensuring compliance with industry specifications.
4. Inspection and Handover
- Conducted thorough inspections to ensure all installations met safety standards and project specifications.
- Provided a full handover to the client, including demonstrations and final checks.

The project successfully delivered a secure and functional entry system, providing the client with:
